Last Sunday, Maverick and I were supposed to drive to Dallas for an early morning appointment on Monday with Cranial Technologies. (We put Mav in a second helmet using a different orthotist, and their office is located in Dalls). But, we had minor car trouble and turned back home. Luckily, the car was easily fixable AND it was a beautiful day (in the 70s). So, we went to the zoo! Maverick had never been before, and Ben hadn't been in years and years. We had a great time, and Maverick loved seeing all of the animals that he reads about in his books. We took lots of pictures of the animals so we can show him, and of course, we took lots of pictures of him, too! We bought a zoo pass, and we can't wait for summer so we can go all the time. Mav also made it out of the park with a brand new penguin backpack, which he loves to wheel around.
