Merry Christmas Maverick

This wasn't Maverick's first Christmas, but since he was only 9 days old last year, it was the first time he could really enjoy it.  It was such a wonderful Christmas season.  Ben and I have been so thankful for everything and everyone we have in our lives.  We have a beautiful child, a loving marriage, and a huge wonderful family. It has been a hard year because of the loss of my PaPa and Ben's Grandma Betty.  But it has been a powerful reminder to treasure each day to its fullest and to love on everyone as much as you can.  Which is easy to do with a sweet boy like Maverick David! Here are a few pics from the holiday...

These pictures are from our first Christmas celebration, on Christmas Eve, at Ben's Uncle Ed's.  Unfortunately, not everyone could make it because of the snow.  But luckily, we have 4 wheel drive in Ben's truck, so we were able to venture out to Bixby and have a nice dinner with the Reeds.

These pictures were taken at our house, in front of Maverick's tree.  I took them with my NEW camera that was an early Christmas gift from Ben and went to good use during the holiday!  They may look familiar from our Christmas card. :)

When Maverick woke up on Christmas morning, the first thing we did was show him the snow out his bedroom window.  It was so fun to have a white Christmas!!!

Then, we brought him into the living room, where Santa had left him his big present: a Kangaroo Climber, with a slide, a tunnel, and two rockclimbing walls!  He got so excited.  He pointed at it and said, "oh! oh!"

We thought he would like the door, but he didn't even open it- he immediately tried to climb over it.

It was a big hit!  We had to pry Mavvy off of it to get him to open the rest of his presents.

After presents, we had breakfast and a nap before heading to Jon and Gayle's for Christmas lunch.

Then, back to our house to have Christmas dinner with my mom.  We also took Mavvy out to play in the snow.
